Corbett National Park is a leading national park in India, located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Established in 1936, Corbett National Park now covers more than 520 square kilometers. In 1973, Project Tiger was first launched in India at Corbett National Park to protect the tiger population. Corbett National Park is one of the few tiger reserves where night stays are allowed. The park area consists of grasslands, mountains, lakes, and rivers. Tigers, elephants, deer, and leopards are some of the most famous animals of Corbett National Park. Additionally, crocodiles and otters can also be found here. More than 50 raptors and over 500 species of birds are present. Open jeep and elephant safaris are popular options for exploring the park. Best Time to Visit Corbett National Park
Corbett National Park is closed during the monsoon season. The best time to visit is from November 15th to June 15th when all ranges are open for safari. The spring season, between February and March, is when flowers bloom in the forests.
