Being well-liked as the ski destination of India, Auli is an emerging winter destination and hill station in Uttarakhand. It is positioned at an amazing elevation of 2,505 meters, offering a wonderful view of the crescent Himalayas. Auli is a popular skiing destination in India because of its impressive slopes and clean surroundings. Dotted with apple orchards, oaks, and deodars, Auli is a well-liked hill town with numerous ski resorts positioned amidst the Himalayan range. Situated at 2,800 meters above sea level, it is home to mountain ranges like Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat, and Kamat Kamet. Many spiritual destinations are also sprinkled around Auli. It is believed that Shankaracharya sanctified Auli with his visit.

  • By Air - The nearest airport to Auli is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. From Dehradun, it is most suitable to travel by taxi or catch a bus to Auli. The bus takes you to Joshimath only; from Joshimath, you can reach Auli by ropeway or by road. Nearest Airport: Dehradun - 149 km from Auli.
  • By Rail - The nearest railway station to Auli is Haridwar railway station, which is located 273 km away from Auli. Dehradun and Rishikesh railway stations are also considered the nearest railway heads to Auli. From Haridwar, you can catch a bus to Auli or hire a cab to Joshimath, from where you need to take the cable car or a bus to Auli.
  • By Road - Joshimath is well-connected to the major cities of Uttarakhand such as Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar. Buses are also available from Delhi to Joshimath. From Joshimath, Auli lies at a distance of 10 km, and you need to cover this distance by ropeway or by road.
