Description
Chamoli is a town and district in the state of Uttarakhand. This city is part of the
northern mountainous area. Its average height is approximately 4,500 feet, but some areas
are higher than 10,000 feet. Chamoli is situated in the middle of the Himalayas. The
Alaknanda River, which originates from the Zaskar range of Tibet, is famous here. The area
of Chamoli is approximately 3,525 square miles. In the summer, the weather is cold and
pleasant. The high peaks become snowy. Chamoli is surrounded by forests, which have an
abundance of paddy, bangoke, oak, etc. Fruits are also plentiful here. In animal husbandry,
sheep, goats, horses, and yaks are kept.

Chamoli is to see the Valley of Flowers, the best time to visit would be July to August. The
summers are pleasant, with temperatures ranging between 15 to 30 degrees Celsius. The area
receives snowfall in the winter, with temperatures dropping to freezing point. However, the
monsoon season experiences excessive rain, causing the area to be prone to landslides.
